Ulster Coarse Fishing Federation - Schools Competition

description

Teams entered the event from as far apart as Enniskillen, Coleraine, Downpatrick and Belfast and unfortunately due to the very low water conditions weights were lower than in previous years. All seemed to enjoy the day and hopefully some of them will be bitten by the bug and improve. The prize giving was well attended with Councillor Kate McEldowney, Chair of the Council in attendance with the resultant press corps! I have sent the results to the angling press etc. so hopefully coverage will be good. I attached some photographs and main results with Shakespeare tackle to the fore. The event is greatly looked forward to by the schools all year and several of the teachers commented on how the kids especially appreciated the chance to take part and catch a fish, hopefully with Shakespeare's continued help we can keep the event going.

Thanks again
